Marmaduke G/T sees Rector play
By Whitney Morris
Marmaduke G/T students went to see Rector High School’s production of School House Rock, which is a combination of music and education in a catchy way so that the children can learn easier.
Eighth grader Sierra Vangilder said she thought the play was neat. “I think I would really like to be in a play, but I wouldn’t know how to do anything,” Vangilder said. “They were able to get into character so easily,” she added. “I’ve been to about five plays at Rector. They have really good acting. My favorite song was ‘Planet Janet.’”
“It was very exciting. I would love to be in a play!” said freshman Emily Newell. “I’ve been to four Rector plays. They have really good acting. I knew most of the songs like ‘Conjunction Junction’ which is my favorite.”
“I like School House Rock. I’d really like to go back,” DJ Mitchell said.
Marmaduke Students were very excited to see how much work was put into the School House Rock play and how much success came out of it.

Jordan Agee, Whitney Morris, Courtney Thompson, and Jessica Colter loaded on the bus and ready to go.
