Homecoming

Last Tuesday, November 24, was homecoming at Marmaduke High School.
“I really enjoyed homecoming this year because my best friend was homecoming queen. It was nice to see all my friends walk and represent our class,” said Caitlin Lewis, sophomore.
The seventh grade maids and escorts were Mikayla Sullivan escorted by Tyler Miller, and Aspen Wright escorted by Dillon Miller. The eighth grade maids and escorts were Molly Ladymon escorted by Luke Carter, and Kelley Lewis escorted by Christian Jones. The freshman maids and escorts were Zoe Blagg escorted by Spencer Hollifield, and Natasha Mason escorted by Hunter Prince. The sophomore maids and escorts were Kelsey Kingston escorted by Briar Easley, and Drew Fletcher escorted by Nick Reinhart. The junior maids and escorts were Kaitlyn Friar escorted by Lance Easley, and Cheyann Upchurch escorted by Tyler Franks. The senior maids and escorts were Elaina Sullivan escorted by Zach Carter, and Trisha Sanders escorted by Mason Knight. Tori Benoit was crowned homecoming queen, and her escort was Jordan Brannon.
All the basketball teams played very hard, and the junior high and high school teams both won.
“I certainly enjoyed homecoming, especially since the games were very close. That made them interesting,” said Hope Richey, sophomore. “I plan on attending again next year because I really enjoy supporting my school.”
The homecoming dance turned out as a success, as many people showed up. I believe everyone enjoyed it and will attend next year.
