FCCLA District
Meeting
By Whitney Morris
During the meeting at Valley View on February 19, Marmaduke
FCCLA members heard updates from the club and listened to a motivational
speaker.
Freshman Leah Morris learned a lot. “They did a skit that told about the
opportunities of FCCLA, and the motivational speaker had personality which I
liked,” she said.
The project of this school year was “Think Pink” which encouraged
schools to donate money for breast cancer awareness. A new council, which is
made up of various students from different schools, was inducted.
“FCCLA has helped me seek additional career options and it
has a lot to offer,” Senior Alex Gould stated.
FCCLA students are presently preparing to enter the State Conference
in March.
Freshman Scarlet Wolverton enjoyed the meeting. “I liked
meeting new people and trying out FCCLA,” she said
Many students from around the district came together to meet
and learn more about FCCLA and what is to come for the future of this club.

Students wait for the FCCLA meeting to begin.
