Marmaduke Student Excels at Art Camp
By Whitney Morris
Tonlee Mitchell, a Sophomore at Marmaduke High School, attended Envision U Creative Camp July 19-20th. There were 32 campers who attended this camp in Mount Petit Jean at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute.
“I had a great time and made a lot of friends. Everyone was so together. There were a lot of hugs and tears on the last day,” said Mitchell of the camp. Tonlee attended three classes, lunch prepared by culinary students, and had some free time. They had to prepare for their final performance and made a screenplay in addition to their artwork. “The most interesting thing that happened to me was the Iron Artist Competition. My team won overall best but I wanted most creative because they got play dough.”
Marmaduke High School is proud of Tonlee for representing our school in this art camp.
