Paragould Exchange Club’s ACE
By Kelsey Kingston and Courtney Thompson
Morgan Hatcher was our school’s representative for the Paragould Exchange Club’s ACE (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award.
“I had to write a really long essay about how I overcame many very hard obstacles,” Morgan said.
This award is for a student who has overcome many obstacles—physical, social, situational, etc—and yet still had many achievements. She and other representatives from Greene County were recognized Wednesday at a luncheon at the Grecian Steakhouse in Paragould.
“They had good food, I had a steak,” stated Morgan.
Each school representative was introduced, and Morgan was announced as the ACE Award winner. She was presented with a plaque and $200 for being chosen as the one who had overcome the most to be where she is today, and the other school representatives received $50.
“I was very excited to have received such an honor,” Morgan said.

Morgan Hatcher, Marmaduke senior, was awarded the ACE award by the Paragould Exchange Club.
