Marmaduke High School Drama Trip
By Anna Oliver
Recently the drama and AP English class attended the Collin’s Theater to see The Crucible in Paragould. The drama class was excited to go see The Crucible after they had acted it out in class. Students were excited to meet the cast of they play so they could meet the people they acted out in their own classroom.
Seeing The Crucible was fun for the students because they observed that almost everything about the play was exactly the same as when they had read it in class. “I would love to see it again,” stated Anna Best. Overall the class enjoyed the play. Many said they thought it was amazing, and they loved it.
The overall favorite character was Giles Corey. He brought much humor to the rather serious play, which made it more suitable for the age groups they were performing for. “The play was awesome. Giles Corey cracked me up,” said Sarah Weatherspoon after the play. It was a great experience for these classes to attend the play.
